Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental part of counselling. Everything we discuss will remain strictly confidential, with a few legal and ethical exceptions:
 • If there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.
 • If there are serious concerns about the safety of a child or vulnerable adult.
 • If you disclose involvement in certain severe illegal activities (e.g., terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundering).
